Associated Builders and Contractors Cfo

Gennaro holds a master`s degree. B in Global Affairs from Virginia Polytechnic University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Pensacola Christian College. She is a Chartered Public Accountant (CPA) and an award-winning professional. In 2017, she received the “Trending 40 Association and Non-Profit Finance Leaders” award from DCA Live and received the “Non-Profit CFO of the Year, Rising Star” award in 2018. Previously, Gennaro oversaw the accounting, financial and institutional functions of ABC National and its affiliated organizations, including the association`s political action committee, pension and savings plan, foundation and for-profit subsidiary. Prior to his promotion to Chief Financial Officer, Gennaro was a Controller at ABC National, overseeing finance and accounting. “After extensive research, it became clear that Tee was an excellent candidate for the position of CFO of NAB,” said Gordon Smith, President and CEO of NAB. “NAB and our members will be well served by their leadership, vision and financial knowledge as they fulfill this important role.” Mark joined the FCCLA`s national staff as Chief Financial Officer on March 7, 2014, after serving as Senior Director of Accounting at Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. Prior to joining ABC, Mark was a manager at Johnson Lambert LLP (JL), an accounting firm specializing in the audit of non-profit organizations. At JL, Mark oversaw approximately 25 different charitable engagements for organizations with revenues ranging from $3 million to $60 million. In addition, Mark oversaw the office`s information technology insurance (ITA) practice at JL. Mark joined JL in 2006 after earning a Master of Accounting (2006) and a Bachelor of Accounting (2005) from James Madison University. In August 2016, Mark`s title changed to Director of Operations to better reflect the role he plays in overseeing the financial, IT, HR and construction aspects of the organization. Over the past three years, Mark has helped FCCLA increase its net worth from $836,000 to $3,571,000, increase its operating reserves from $432,000 to $3,318,000 and reduce its debt from $778,000 to $0. “Mark joined the FCCLA at a pivotal time for the organization and helped us establish processes that allowed the organization to become financially secure and better focused on achieving our mission goals. He was an invaluable asset to the FCCLA.

Mark also enjoys playing golf, training and spending time with his wife Brittany and dog Tucker.
